From the outside and in the Atrium entrance, the building looks huge and overwhelming, but most of the rooms of the collection are relatively small and welcoming. The rigorous chronological layout seems restrictive at first, but actually allows a fun crash course on medieval, renaissance golden age and some modern art. Fine for those whose museum mood expires in 2 hours. This summer, the Henry Moore sculptures in the garden must not be skipped.

A huge museum with a bunch of different things. It does not really have anything to do with Amsterdam or Holland. There was for examples displayed a huge gun and sword collection, old fashion dresses and asian vases. So unless you are really interested in any of those things, I don't recommend going there.

Great museum with lots of seeing if you like art! Takes couple of hours to see everything but worth to spend your time whether is really hot outside or raining. Also beautiful park around you won't regret anything.

Spectacular museum with wonderful paintings, especially Rembrandt's' Night Watch. Go there first thing in the mooring before the crowds arrive! The renovations were fantastic and worth waiting for!

This is an art gallery not a museum! Your children will hate it! I hated it- 3 floors of old paintings so dull, so busy, Not what I would call a museum at all. Expensive too.15 euros ,the coffee shop queue was long the entrance queue too. Really disappointed.
