Food was quick and delicious--croquettes were crispy and bread really good. Place was packed but good service, friendly and fun place.

Just outside the Rijksmuseum, this is a good alternative to the museum's bistro, which can be crowded. Of course, this place is not fast either if it is crowded but at least you are sitting outside and you can rest a bit from the museum visit.

The service is slow but friendly. The food is surprisingly good for a place next to world class attraction, and quite reasonable in price too.

We tried the salmon sandwich and the tuna sandwich. Both very good. We also had a orange, carrot, ginger fresh juice. Great if you like that kind of thing.

The cafe inside the Rijksmuseum was packed so we decided to try this place. The location is very good and the view of the Museumplein is very nice. The service on the other hand was terrible. We had to wait a very long time to order - and nearly left - and also had to wait a long time to pay. The food was Ok but not much more. The bread in the sandwiches could have been fresher and they were served with absolutely nothing on the side. The Ceasar salad was definitely not a Ceasar - it contained stuff like capers, beans and onions?

We discovered this cafe in Rick Steeve's book. It is just behind the Rijks Museum. It has a pretty limited menu...more of a coffee shop with light sandwich/soup lunches. The food was pretty good but nothing really special. The service was friendly but kind of slow and we were anxious to get going. It's okay...I'd recommend it, but if you have the option, it would be better to get lunch prior to arriving at the Rijks Museum as there are limited pickings in the immediate neighbourhood.

I am a local and we met friends here for a light lunch. Okay, it's a tourist trap but it's also where the sun happened to be shining today. I had what was billed as a ham and cheese tosti (translate grilled cheese) with tomato. What I got was,a paper thin slice of cheese, and a cheap boiled paper thin slice of ham on dry barely toasted white bread with a side packet of Heinz ketchup. . . I'm not joking, and all for the price of 4 euro (convert to US 5.41). Yeah it was 4 euro and I was paying for ambiance so what am I cranking about, but come on, try a little harder Cobra Cafe!
