“Good food and reasonable price.”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

If you haven't tried Indonesian food before I recommend the rijsttafel which saves trying to choose between the many available dishes. This restaurant has 4 levels of rijsttafel at different prices depending on how flush you are and how many different dishes you would like to try. Price of the 3 course meal seemed very reasonable but wine was a little more expensive.

The location on the Stadhouderskade overlooking the canal was very pleasant. The service was good and the food arrived quickly after ordering. The tables were a little close together. If you feel the need to use the toilet facilities be aware this involves negotiating a steep staircase to the basement.

Altogether a pleasant Indonesian food experience.

“Indonesian with a view”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

There was a nice selection of spicy and mild authentic dishes. The service was informative and attentive. Reservations were accepted but not required. There was a nice view of one of the many canals. The atmosphere was suitable for families, large groups and couples.

“Interesting food, friendly staff”
Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Interesting Indonesian menu. Slightly shabby interior but food was excellent. We opted for the Rijsttafel special, a mix of 15 different dishes which gave us a good variety of tastes from quite mild satay (peanut flavour) to rather spicy. Tthis is a really good option for those who don't know much about Indonesian food - like us! Also had nice chicken soup for starter and fresh fruit to finish. Friendly, helpful waiter.

“Hurry Up”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

No sooner given the menu and expected to order. Felt like I was being rushed. Food was pretty awful also. Asked for the bill, and had it within 30 seconds, Waiter waited (isn't that what they do) until I got my credit card out, refused it, and I had to pay cash - this is normal in Amsterdam, they don't take credit cards in too many places, and when they do, they charge a ridiculous surcharge. Not recommended.
