We stayed at the Marriott Amsterdam (see my review there) and just down the street is Srikandi. We had just taken the Hop-on Hop-off Canal tour and had gotten off a ways back to walk back to the Marriott. We saw this restaurant and since there are supposed to be some pretty good Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam we took and chance and went here for dinner. The decor is very nice with an Indonesian theme (I assume since never been to Indonesia). All the dishes we had were very good. The combination satay plate was good. We also ordered the bami goreng noodle dish which had a lot of flavor not to mention quite a bit of meat for a noodle dish, which is pretty good. The side dish of vegetables in coconut sauce was really good that I had to put the remaining rice I had to soak up the sauce. Then we also had the boneless chicken which was done just right with a spicy and sweet dipping sauce. Highly recommended if you're in the area and not sure where to go. Great service, by the way.
