We stayed at the Marriott Amsterdam (see my review there) and just down the street is Srikandi. We had just taken the Hop-on Hop-off Canal tour and had gotten off a ways back to walk back to the Marriott. We saw this restaurant and since there are supposed to be some pretty good Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam we took and chance and went here for dinner. The decor is very nice with an Indonesian theme (I assume since never been to Indonesia). All the dishes we had were very good. The combination satay plate was good. We also ordered the bami goreng noodle dish which had a lot of flavor not to mention quite a bit of meat for a noodle dish, which is pretty good. The side dish of vegetables in coconut sauce was really good that I had to put the remaining rice I had to soak up the sauce. Then we also had the boneless chicken which was done just right with a spicy and sweet dipping sauce. Highly recommended if you're in the area and not sure where to go. Great service, by the way.

We chose this restaurant after reading the good reviews on tripadvisor and were not disappointed. We had the Indonesian rijsttafel which was a very varied and extremely tastey selection of 15 dishes. The waiter was very friendly and attentive but the service deteriorated after more people started coming to the restaurant and I got the impression that they were understaffed that night. Despite this I would still come back here because I enjoyed the food so much.

Fabulus meal at this restaurant, not many tables, nice view if you are by the window. Really nice wine list, food delicious, we did the taster menu for 4, perfect way to experience different tastes. Waiters extremely attentive and took pride in their food. All in all exceptional.

The restaurant was recommended by a local and it lived up to our expectation. This was a good introduction of Indonesian food to my family. The food was tasty and filling.

This place was located right next to our hotel, which was convienient. I checked TripAdvisor and it had great reviews, so we gave it a shot. We were a group of 7 so the sharing rijsttafel special set-meal option worked really well. It was the perfect amount of food for everyone and a great range of meat, fish and vegetables. The wine wasn't as hoped, so i would suggest pairing it with beer.
On the higher end of the scale in terms of price, but it was worth it given the food was so tasty.
