“Not 3star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

We have just returned from a stay at this hotel. On checking in we were given a room which had a bathroom door which was hanging by its hinges and wouldn't shut the shower was broken and the view from the window was of rubbish, dog ends etc which had been thrown from the upper floors. We asked for a different room but were shown one that had no window and was baking hot, so decided to stay put. On the plus side the beds were reasonably comfortable and fairly clean. We had breakfast next door at Molly Malone's which was very good.

This France hotel is very near to the centre of amstedam (and the red light district). the decor is modern, the facilities are fine for what you need for a night. Clean towels provided. Rooms are nice and warm. plenty of storage for our clothes. We didnt have much of a view from our room, but I guess we got what we paid for! There did seem to be one lift that served the whole hotel though, couldn't find any steps that were not fire exits.
Breakfast is self service on the Irish pub next door, with cereals, continental meats and cheese, bread, yoghurts and fruits as well as fruit juice and coffees. Really good price for the room and breakfast and would stay again. Could do with a few more leaflets and maps maybe to tourists that haven't bought anything with them?

Stayed at this hotel without previously reading the reviews. Having booked through last minute.com stayed in room 207 while the main area of the room seemed clean even with the tattered units. The bathroom however was a different story mould on the shower curtain to the point where the bottom was crusty. The management should be embarrassed. Over priced, worst room I've stayed in. The Pictures on websites are not true to the hotel regardless of what they will come back and say. New cleaning staff needed or a serious re-training program..awful

stayed in this hotel twice and the location of this hotel is superb! Very helpful staff and free wi-fi is nice. Rooms are clean but dated although this is fine for a 3*. Only issue is our room was right by the stairs and people going up & down kept me awake. BUT I am a light sleeper & the noise didn't keep my boyf up!
There was a leak from the window in our room but reception moved us to another (better) room immediately.

Breakfast next door was good. Didn't run out of anything.

Good location, 5 minute walk to Central Station, and close to all the attractions. The "superior" room I booked was very clean, a good size, but the flooring wasn't in great condition and a few patches of damp on the ceiling, so needs a bit of work. Staff helpful. For where it's located, and for the time you spend in your room, it's good value. Breakfast in Molly Malone's next door was ok.

Stayed here in late August 2013 with a friend. Brilliant location - in the red light district but an easy walk to all the main attractions and shopping in Amsterdam. Located on a little road with a canal running through it across from central station. Breakfast is served at a little Irish pub next door to the hotel and chairs and tables outside to eat next to the canal.
Central location but still quiet and lots of restuarants and cafes around. Rooms are quite small but clean and comfortable.

The Hotel 'is what it is'. Good value. Excellent location near to the railway station and main attractions. Good breakfast next door in Molly Malone's Irish pub. The rooms are basic, and half do not have a view as they are enclosed within the building. Excellent transport links. There are better hotels in the area, but are more expensive. well worth using this hotel.

Room Tip: Try and book a room at the front or rear with a view of the canals.
