The photos on the website are a very good representation of the apartment, complete with little bridge over the canal outside the front window. The ground floor location (up 3 steep steps from the street) was a bonus, hearing about old Amsterdam's notoriously steep stairways. I'd classify it as a studio apartment with one large, comfy bed on one side of the large living room. As i was staying with a friend, we would have preferred 2 equal-sized beds rather than have to choose between one large bed and one single roll-away bed that was stored in the cupboard but that was the only negative . Kitchen was well-equipped and washer/dryer a bonus. I'd definitely stay there again. And Bas, the owner, stopped by with a welcome gift of wine and gouda - delightful!
Bas was very kind and flexible with our request. The apartment is clean, very nice and very well equipped. The position was perfect to visit the city. Only one thing disturbed our holiday peace...the nearest church bells ringing every 15 minutes! We recommend this apartment for you holiday.
We have had a very good experience in Amsterdam, the house is central and comfortable. We stayed with our 2 children of 6 and 9 y.o. and they liked it very much! The flat is clean, central and very cozy. Located near Rembrandt House we could go everywhere also on foot but we also rented bikes for a couple of days. In the flat you can find everything as described on the website by Bas (our guest), who is also very kind to leave at one's disposal a useful guide mentioning restaurants, things to see and Dutch uses. Thanks for the beautiful stay. Recommended!
This was a lovely apartment in a very nice area of central Amsterdam. Bas and Wilson were excellent hosts. They arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport and drive us to the apartment. Wilson was waiting for us and showed us around the apartment.
The apartment was actually larger than we expected. It was in a convenient location and "walkable" to all the main attractions. There is also a tram station a couple of blocks away. There is a grocery store around the corner that we used for breakfast supplies. There are several wonderful restaurants in the area. Bas was helpful with recommendations.
This apartment was a perfect home base for our fun trip to Amsterdam.
This was a great place to stay in Amsterdam, very close to everything. Bas was most helpful with transport options also getting out of the city for a couple a day trips.
The apartment has everything you need and the wine, cheese, and coffee were much appreciated on our arrival.
Thanks again Bas, hope to see you down under one day.
Cheers Irene and Geoff
The Canal Apartment was wonderful. It was well equipped with everything we needed. I loved looking out the window, to see boats going by in the canal. Bas was a perfect host. He met us when we arrived, and it was late. I loved the taxi service that was included in the price. Everything is within walking distance, and there are so many restaurants and pubs to choose from. Tons of shopping for anything you want. There was a really nice Farmers Market open on Saturday. Lots of fruit, veggies, and baked goods to take back to the room. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone who loves to explore all of the little streets and sites in Amsterdam. . Thank you Bas

We were collected from the airport by taxi, kindly organised by our host Bas, as frequent visitors to Amsterdam it can still be stressful trying to find your accommodation, especially if it is a houseboat or apartment as most streets look the same so getting dropped right outside your door was a perfect way to begin our stay. The apartment facilities were perfect, well equipped kitchen, great shower, very good Wi-Fi and spacious living area. The view from the living room window was really beautiful, even nicer than the photos. The location is perfect, very central, close to many restaurants, shops and the Rambrandt Plein. Although central the apartment is located on a really nice, quiet canal. Our only negative comments about the apartment are the church bells that ring throughout the day, at first it was nice but it got a bit annoying in the end, and the bed was a little bit uncomfortable, although some other reviews did like the bed so this is just our own personal opinion. If you are looking for a real Amsterdam experience we would highly recommend this apartment.
