The hotel itself is fairly small which wasn't a problem for us as we just showered and slept there. The ceiling of the room we were in was covered in dust webs and the walls were badly marked. Again that didn't bother us as the price we paid was reflected in the room. A lot of people have mentioned the beds - they are very soft so if you prefer a firm mattress this isn't the hotel for you. Personally I liked how comfy it was so no bed complaints from me.

The service we got from reception varied depending on who was there but the majority of staff were very friendly and helpful. You can leave your bags in the store room before check in and after checkout which was great.

The area around the hotel itself is lovely - right next to vondel Park. You can walk through the park in about 20 minutes to get to Amsterdam although it's still a fair walk to the centre. We got the number 2 tram which was easy to find and the staff on there are so helpful. Don't worry if you get on the wrong side like we did at first, the tram just goes back on itself.

Breakfast was nice but very simple. Just toast, cereal, a couple of small pastries and a small selection of meats and cheese. There was no hot option. Thankfully breakfast was included in the price otherwise it costs €10 per person per day which I don't think is worth that. On the plus side though drinks (tea coffee fruit juice) are unlimited and I believe you can use the coffee machine all day at no extra charge.

We probably wouldn't choose to go back but if it came up on a wowcher deal or similar we would.

Hotel is nice enough, basic accommodation really, bed shower and kettle everything you need to get by with. The walls a really thing and you can hear everyone walking past room or above you which can be a nuisance. Breakfast is nice enough though.

The location was great for getting around. A short walk to the nearest tram stop which was on the line to Rijksmuseum and Leidseplein and Central station. You are right next to Vondelpark which is beautiful and lovely to walk through. The area itself has a few cafes nearby and is nice and safe to walk around at night.

You can leave your luggage before checkin and the staff are helpful and friendly. However the rooms are very small and basic. Good for a short weekend break where you aren’t spending long in the room.

Located near vondelpark, so near leidseplain and about 25 mins away from central as there is a short walk to the tram stop. Rooms are quite small and very basic. Wallpaper in our room was a little grubby but all in all we enjoyed our stay and this was my only fault i found. The hotel is quite small and typically narrow like most Dutch buildings. It has a small lift to get you up stairs. All in all a decent budget room.

Nice staff, very helpful. Very small rooms but clean and bright. Great location and a nice walk through the park to get to town. Near to tram stops. Discount cards at reception. Breakfast was nice. Good choices.
