We were undecided on where to eat on a Saturday evening and wanted something close to our apartment in the Jordaan area. After reading the menu at this restaurant, we decided to try it, mainly for the meat platter for 2.
The place looks a little dog-eared and at first we thought no one else was eating there but when we entered the restaurant we realised that most people were out in a cosy little courtyard in the back. It was too chilly for us, though, so we sat inside. For starters, I had the spanokopita and hubby had the feta cheese. Both were lovely and reasonably priced at €5 and €4 respectively. We then had the mixed meat platter which consisted of lamb chops, pork loin, meat balls, stewed meat, cole slaw, bean and onion salad and chips. It was all very tasty and there was plenty of food for two.
As we ate, the restaurant filled up and our server became very busy. We were not offered a dessert
menu and decided that we would head home anyway. The total for two 2-course dinners and a jug of wine was €52, which was quite reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.
