“Returned again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

A few years ago we found the Triple Five via the internet and I looked forward to returning again during my trip to Amsterdam. As before, the room was clean and comfortable with fast Wi-Fi. As important, , the location is one of the best. The Triple Five is ideally located on the Prinsengracht with access to both high quality (Bussia) and local (Molepad) restaurants along with some of the best shopping streets and the bohemian Jordann district. There is a bicycle rental (bike.nl) relatively close that made the whole experience complete. We look forward to coming back again on our next trip to Amsterdam. Room Tip: Choose the one on the second floor overlooking the canal

This is a guest house which just provides the room and no breakfast. Perfectly located opposite one of the many beautiful canals in Prinsengracht. Loads of great eating, shopping and sight seeing places just down the road from the house. 500 meter walk away from the Anne Frank museum. Red light district within walking distance.
Very easy to get to the house: took a train from Schipol aiport to the central station, outside of the station we took a tram (ram 1,2,5 or 14) to Prinsengracth and the guest house is a 100m walk away from where you get off.
The rooms are upstairs and the stairs are quite steep and there is not elevator.
Rooms and bathroom are clean and towels are changed daily.

Room Tip: Ask for the room facing the canal, the doors open directly to the canals view.

We are heading back this month for our 5th stay at the Triple Five Guesthouse. Anies and Ton are not just the owners of a fab B&B, they are our friends.
We usually stay in the apartment, but all of the rooms are lovely and the location is superb. What makes staying at the Triple Five so perfect is the fact that Anies and Ton are so lovely and have made the Guesthouse really comfy and welcoming.
We are heading back this Aug Bank Holiday and I have no doubt that a warm welcome and comfortable stay greets us.
We used to pay the same rate to stay in a chain hotel - it was impersonal, not always clean and yes we got breakfast, but if you are staying on one of the canals there are so many great places to eat, why restrict yourself!
I would always recommend staying here, as it feels like home

We've been to Amsterdam many times (my wife lived there for several years) and have always stayed closer to the train station on Herengracht near Brouwersgracht. While searching through the internet we stumbled across the Triple Five Guesthouse and we are so happy we did! It is ideally located in one of the most charming areas and on one of the nicest canals, the Prinsengracht. The evening we arrived we were greeted by Ton and when we stepped into the room, we had this beautiful view of the canal (see the evening photo). After a few moments, we both said we wanted to move to Amsterdam!

All the old brown cafes in the neighborhood have turned into wonderful restaurants (see photo of Het Molenpad) and you are on the outskirts of the Jordaan where you can find everything you need (eg. health club is 2 minutes away, laundromat, grocery store, etc.).

We are definitely staying here again...

(Being a guest house, there is no concierge and no breakfast however Ton is very helpful and pointed out restaurants, shopping, etc.)
