Description: Caffe Esprit is located in the historic heart of Amsterdam. This unique venue is characterised by its central location and its panoramic views over the whole of the Spui. Caffe Esprit is visited by a very varied public: shoppers, business people and students have long known where to find Caffe Esprit. Caffe Esprit has long been known for its extensive menu of delicious club sandwiches, pastas, burgers and salads. The splendid home-made carrot cake and cheesecake have for years attracted a large clientele. In the summer months, the sun-drenched terrace is a delightful spot for enjoying our spendid lunches, a good glass of wine and a small glass of refreshing cold beer with finger food.

We had a quick lunch there.
Nice environment, in the very center of Amsterdam.
We had both pasta and sandwiches.
Good food and reasonable prices.

“Wow”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

Its a beautiful cafe in the middle of Amsterdam centrum. We sat down at some comfortable leather sofas, and stayed there for 3 hours. During our stay I had three Latte's, and a chicken burger. For this I payed €22.

“Cozy and warm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

Lovely place, nice and warm atmoshpere, very good service and tasty food. Prices for drinks are reasonable. However, food is a bit expensive, but prices are analogous to the location; the lovely Spui square with the bookmarket every Friday. I would recomment it.

“Best tomato soup on the planet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

The Esprit cafe is almost always busy, but you rarely need to wait long for a table. It has quite and extensive menu of bagels, ssandwiches, soups and salads.... the tomato soup is the BEST I have ever tasted. The breads are tasty and fresh.
The service is never that attentive, but it isn;t bad either. In the summer the tables spill out into the square and are a great place to sit for a lazy coffee and some people watching. Combine it with a stroll around the Beijnhof and you will have a lovely relaxing afternoon

“Good little lunch spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2012

Went here randomly on a Sunday after arriving early from the US and not being able to check in. Had the Cobb Club and it was quite good. A bit expensive but nothing outrageous. Waitress was nice but was not overly attentive. Good experience overall.
