Simple, fun, and classy. Small antique wooden boat from the late 19th century used for the canal dinner cruise. Compared to the cruises we have been on in Dubai and Paris this was such a fun and unique experience. The ships crew consists of two people, the Captain and the waitress. Both do a great job caring to the ten tables on board. We booked the upgraded package with the pre-departure drinks and appetizers, well worth it. Try to get there early as seating seemed to be unassigned and first come first choice. Although there is not a bad seat on the small boat, try to sit in the front near the Captain if you want to hear some commentary and history during the cruise. My wife and I sat in the aft part of boat and enjoyed the quiet evening without the commentary, but to each his own. The best part of the dinner is that it is catered from a nice restaurant on one of the canals! On the first pass the boat stops for a few minutes to collect the salads/breads and then on the second pass your hot entrees are brought onboard. The food was nice, but the overall experience makes it worth the price of admission. Very unique and classy operation, great for a summer evening on the canal. Wouldn't go again, but would highly recommend to anyone thinking of trying a dinner cruise in AMS!
