“Neat on the whole with some buts...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

Glasses dripping with water and not from the washing machine. We all drank from some soup cups.
Quick service (but no intercommunication/no single waiter per table, three insisting on offering to drink)
No sincronization bringing food to guests.
Generous portions, duck was pre cooked (not of the past 3 hours for sure). Chicken was appreciated yet not just done either. Prices were 18.5 and 16.5 respectively. Rice: I saw the owner lady handing a portion to her son... after removing some parts that were evidently unpresentable.
Not to return for me... was full so probable people genereally appreciate it.
Staff was as usual for chinese rests in a hurry and bangy/noisy.

“Food is decisious.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

Recommended by locals. Excellent takeout. Restaurant atmosphere neutral and quite Chinatown. Service fine but not effusive. Dishes just great. Cannot fault the food - every dish really good. Would highly recommend, but could be pricey.

“Go with 4, and try the 'duck 3 ways' ..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2012

Been going to this restaurant some years .. the recent change in chef has resulted in some 'noticeable improvements' ... the 'peking duck with pancakes' is now a 'signature dish', not to be missed ... in fact, try the 'duck 3 ways ' -- first round, crispy-served with pancakes, enough for 4 persons to get 4 pancakes each, quite substantial ... second round, duck bones soup with fresh veggies, very tasty ... third round, duck fillet with vegetable of choice (we chose chinese sauerkraut ) ... at the third round, just order an 'extra dish' to complement (we chose mixed seafood with fresh asparagus and macadamias) and there's plenty for 4 to share ... final bill, including drinks, came to €20 per head.. who can complain about that ..?

A renewed 'thumbs-up' for 'Lee Family Kitchen' ..!

Yummy yummy yummy always crowded with Chinese locals, I go there for take-out whenever I can, the Spicy Egglant dish, I live in A'dam, and was first introduced to Taste of Culture through a Chinese colleague from Shanghai

“Try the excellent duck pancakes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2012

Excellent Chinese food, good service in an unassuming no nonsense setting. Extra points for the scarce or non-use of MSG in the food. The duck pancakes are excellent.
