Came as part of a large group for a 30th birthday, and were very well taken care of by the very friendly staff. The had been pre-advised that one of our group was pregnant, and tailored the courses accordingly which was very welcome.

It's easy to see how it can be tough to get a booking here, the whole package is just fantastic, from the staff, through to the quality of the wines and, of course, the food. Every dish was superb, full of complimentary textures and flavours - in our party of 12 there wasn't a single complaint about anything.

Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Amsterdam.

Everything about this place is great. The setting , the people, the wine list , the ambiance - all perfect BUT for me the food was pointlessly overly fussy but worse still was pretty much without flavour. Yes the presentation was excellent but really apart from a delicious Truffle Rissoto course all other five courses for me are best described as bland , as if somehow the chef has perfected the art of presentation only. We left a little disappointed, sorry Bussia....

During our first stay in Amsterdam, we stayed at the Pulitzer Hotel. We were looking for a good meal and close to the hotel. The concierge suggested Bussia. We were met at the door by Natalie, the owner. She sat us at a great table, by the window. She took the time to recommend a wine and the menu. My wife and I had the 5 course tasting menu, which was fantastic! The presentation of the food is spectacular. We loved the dining experience so much, we ate at Bussia two nights later and Natalie sat us again at our "favorite." Again...awesome! We're back again (our son is doing a semester abroad in Amsterdam) and decided to go back with our son. Now he has a favorite resturant in Amsterdam.

We celebrated our anniversary at Bussia on a Saturday night and it was a superb experience. We'd heard recommendations from friends and colleagues before, but it had been fully booked the few times we'd tried a (late) booking. This time we managed to get a table – lucky that we did!

We went for the menu, which allows you to choose either 4, 5 or 6 courses, either choosing between pasta/risotto and fish/meat or getting all four options. A BRILLIANT set of wine pairings (with wines mainly from/near Piemonte) was also offered, with the highlight being the Barolo that was simply mind-blowing. A la carte offers a few more options, but as the hallmark of a great restaurant goes, the choice is limited to just a few dishes that they can really excel in.

The owners are usually working at the restaurant and you can really feel the pride they have for the place. This is truly one of our new Amsterdam favourites.

the idyllically located restaurant in a beautiful old building in one of the historic 'nine' streets in Amsterdam, is a good starter for this restaurant, however I was not impressed by the menu and the results served...were disappointing, rarely we encounter the situation in a restaurant where we really do not like the menu selection... unfortunately this was the case here...the second plate ravioli with scrimps and fish was served cold and not well cooked... we did not select the main course...with a worldwide traveling exposure to 1/2/3 start rated as also no star rated restaurants we found this one of our very least favorite...a more diverse menu-choice would change all this feelings...
