Me and my boyfriend really had a good times staying here coz’ we felt that we had moved to amsterdam. The level of service here was really extraordinary and the host was very accommodating he lets us experienced what we are exactly looking for. Ernie was genuinely kind and hospitable. Lastly, the sure thing is we will come back.

I won't lie, the place was a little hard to find, but once we did find it...it worked out great. We were the only tenants in the B&B that weekend, so the owner tossed us the key, said, "You can use both rooms, just don't forget to lock the door when you leave!" And we barely saw him again for the next couple of days. We had clean towels and made beds, so no complaints there. Yes, the area was kind of loud, but I was with a bunch of partiers, so it worked out in their favor. I would definitely stay again, if the situation was the same.

Room Tip: The top room is closer to the restroom/shower.

We stayed here for five days in April/May 2011 over Queensday. This B&B is very centrally located and we walked everywhere we went in Amsterdam. It is in the gay district which makes it more fun in our opinion.

Unfortunately this means it is a noisier place to stay but I wore earplugs and was fine. During Queensnight and Queensday the club across the street has a blaring loud street party and it was impossible to drown out that much noise so we just stayed out until 5am partying and the next day we walked around the city if we needed to escape the noise. This was for Queensday and Queensnight only, the rest of the time the noise was manageable.

I can't comment on the price because all the room rates get pushed up for Queensday so the whole city is very expensive.

The room was clean. The bathrooms were clean. They were shared but we never had a problem getting a shower with hot water (a luxury after some of our other European accommodations).

As with lots of B&Bs there isn't any breakfast to speak of but there is a coffee machine, tea and a fridge. The owner was helpful and gave us tips on how to get around Amsterdam safely in a crowd of 300000 people. Check-in went as planned, the owner was around and we called him when we were nearby.

Even though it was a great location in Amsterdam, the fact that it is located right by a club makes the location horrible. Seriously, we didn't sleep for 3 nights. My husband and I are backpackers and we are easy to please...but it was just way too loud and I even had ear plugs in. The room looks similar to the online photo, but not exactly like it. The bathroom is like a dungeon...very low lit. But, on a happier note, it's located right next to a small ice cream place for late night munchies :) :) :)

The room is nicely located by the flower market and between tram lines which makes it very convenient. We arrived and were shown to our room but mind you, there are very very steep stairs to climb so watch out if you have a lot of luggage or can't climb stairs easily. The location gets very noisy at night and I kept waking up from screaming, cheering, partying people in the square below until 5am in the morning. We were not aware of any breakfast that was served here. The lighting in the room is atrocious and it feels as though you are in a cave. Very hard to read or look at a map. I felt like buying a lamp so I could see in the room. As said there are no outlets in the bathroom nor do they clean while you are here. The only plus for this place is the location but I wouldn't stay again.

We stayed at the Amsterdam4Holiday Bed and Breakfast this past April as we were going to meet friends, staying in Amsterdam for three nights, before meeting our cruise ship for the Tulip Tour on the Rhine River of Netherlands and Belgium. We booked this hotel because of the location. After three nights, we felt this was the only positive. Our room was not ready, as we arrived a little earlier than we had advised the owner. We were very tired after an overseas flight, but had to stand outside of the building for fifteen to twenty minutes, knocking on the door until the owner arrived and let us in. Rooms were dirty, so we had to wait some more until they were cleaned. Our first night, the room was very warm and so we opened the window--a lot of noise in the courtyard below us during the night. This was the case each of the three nights. We paid for a room with a private bath (next to the room), it was clean, but no electrical outlets in the bathroom. I was told to dry my hair in the bedroom, and when I tried to do that, the mirror in the room was setting on the floor, with nowhere to prop it us so it could actually be used. Very inconvenient and the entire room was a disappointment. It did not look like the rooms on the website, that's for sure.
Also, our room was never cleaned the entire time we were there!! Our friends also experienced this same lack of service.and the towels we used were never removed from the bathroom while we were there. The two young guys that own the place need a course in hospitality!! Also, the first morning at breakfast, we were asked to pay for the three nights right then and when we paid with a credit card, we were told that were being charged an extra 3% for using the credit card and not cash. We were never told this up front, nor will you see this requirement in the ad for this B&B online. We felt this was dishonest, but we were stuck with it. Ernesto, (co-owner) offered no explanation or apology when we told him we did not agree with that. We paid 120 Euros ($180 US) per night for the room, which is way more than we would normally pay for accomodations here in the US or other places we travel to. That also included the extra we had to pay for breakfast, which we are not used to being charged at a "Bed and "Breakfast"! Surely expected something special so.......this exerience was very disappointing. Also, there is no one at this property during the day, I can't help but wonder, what would one do if there was a medical emergency or a fire, etc. there. Scary! Stay here at your own risk. Wish I had known this before booking this property.

Thanks goodness our Rhine River Cruise was wonderful!

Room Tip: Book at a hotel with proven record of service.
