We loved this place! A stunning visual experience. Nick, the owner/curator, brought it all to life. Not to be missed.

This museum was hilariously impressive. We put on the slippers they gave us and stepped down into a world of fluorescent art and natural items. Nick knew his stuff and went into great detail on the different pieces which is why it was so hilarious that he ended the tour with a piece of art and all he said about it was "This was painted by Leon Hendrix, Jimi Hendrix's brother."

I wasn't quite sure what to expect before visiting the museum, but what an experience! The man who hosted the tour is fascinating and I could have listened to his various stories and tales for hours. He was happy to answer any questions we had and even showed us some of the exhibits that we had missed (we were a couple of minutes late) at the end of the tour. Next time in Amsterdam I'm going to return to buy some artwork from the shop to help support this wonderful couple and their museum.

Be prepared to take off your shoes and put slippers on before Nick takes you down to his mini museum. Nick is very knowledgeable in geology and history of minerals. He even shows you his tattoo under the fluorescent lights made from minerals. Did you know anything organic glows under a black light??? Nick will educate you on all kinds of really funky-cool people who've left their work behind. A fun experience. It's a place that isn't for big crowds and he has a bell at the front of the door and only can do small tours at a time. It is 5 euro to enter and a fun place to take children. Our son loved it!

This is a unique museum! Forgot about just Amsterdam, I'm not sure I've seen anything like this before at all. The guy who runs the place knows his stuff; fascinating insights into everything neon and fluorescent. 5euro entry fee but definitely worth it.
I can see why some people have posted negative feedback about not being able to get in straight away after pressing a bell next to the please wait sign. While we were on the tour, the bell went. Nick did say through a mic that it would be a few minutes. If people are patient it will be worth it!! It's a small museum and there is only one of him... I'm not sure why other people couldn't find the place- I was given a map by the hotel I was staying at and had no worries. It's on what looks like a residential street but don't let that fool you.
It's not Amsterdam but it's definitely worth seeing!
