Had dinner at 11 pm at night, which was well late, but staff had no issues serving us. There was a lovely fish tank full of tropical fish, which created a lovely atmosphere. My mixed grill consisted of what I thought were dover sole, salmon, tuna and maybe cod. The tuna was a little well done for my taste, but lovely nonetheless. Staff were friendly. If you like seafood do try this place. There are a lot of worse and overpriced restaurants out there. They even order a taxi for you if you require.

Ate at Lucius tonight. I travel on business and was eating alone. This was not a problem and I had a choice of where I sat. Had a lovely meal. Warm bread in a basket on arrival. The staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the Tuna with soy sauce. It came cooked to order with Wasabi sauce, pickled ginger and a great green vegetable(?) on the plate and side orders of fries and salad. Food was excellent. A glass of the house wine - a savignon blanc - was good and reasonable price. I would recommend and would eat here again.

We thought that this was the best tasting fish we have ever eaten, coupled with staff that are friendly & welcoming make this restaurant a must visit for anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Amsterdam. Try the fish mixed grill or the tuna steak, we liked it. The staff were knowledgeable and willing to explain the various menu contents. A varied wine menu with lots of "wines by the glass" selection topped off this 5 star experience.

Wow - saw some of the reviews and felt after Bicken the nigh before, this should be good - WRONG. Should have figured something was amiss then a tourist bus just pulled away from letting of a hoard at the place just down the street. Anyway, was not that crowed at 7 pm so ventured in and was sort of welcomed by one of the two wait-staff who eventually sat me in the back next to the bar. They provided a menu that was in at least 16 different languages (two real pages of menu items in a folder the size of a book - been years since my 'tour' menu in London). Anyway, order the herring, the house fish soup, and the mixed grill (recommended by the waitstaff - and of course most expensive). There was very little discussed re the menu and they only had 1 house white wine (non-descript- here is the glass and it has wine in it). The herring was nice and reminded me a spanish mackrel sashimi in American Japanese restaurants - the pickels and onion were a nice touch. It was paire with ice cold NL gin, which I did not get flavor enhancement concept. The soup turned out to be a broth, with only small flakes of fish remains at the bottom and sort of flavorless until you mixed in the garlic aoili and grated cheese. The real downer for me (left half on the plate) was the main course - over done piece fo srimp (grilled to almost black), a well done (small) pience of tuna, a sliver (you know the small ends that run down the side of a good salmon steak or the small piece of the filet) of well done salmon, and unknow pience of fish (sea bass was the guess) and a while dover sole. The sole was a problem as it was essentially unboned and when I deboned it (removed spine and ribs intact), there were soooo many pin bones left it was litterally barely edible (picking out the pin bones between bits). The meal was sooo bad by this time, I simply asked for the check sans coffee or desert. Total damage here for 1 w/o coffer or dessert for a disappointing meal was 50 EUROS!!! Given what Amsterdam has to offer in reasonable food places, will not be coming back . . . .

This fish restaurant is located in center of Amsterdam.

Restaurant is not big, and interior looks very casual and simple.

See food server here is great – as whole concept simple but excellent.

Staff is extremely friendly and easy going.

Generally concept is excellent – very consequent, all fits together perfectly – casual interior, easy going staff and fantastic see food. Extremely relaxing place !

Is better to make booking otherwise hard to get free table.
