This comfortable, well appointed restaurant is a short tram ride south of the city centre, on a square next to the Tropenmuseum (Museum of the colonies). It provides really superb international modern food with a Dutch twist. My duck rillettes with pickles were followed by a delicious cauliflower velouté and then roast cod for a main course, served with samphire and excellent roast vegetables. Desserts are straightforward but beautifully presented with home made ice cream. There's a good choice of wines by the glass and the service is friendly and efficient.
The 2, 3 and 4 course menu options provide good value for money - the quality is way, way above what you get in the tourist spots in the centre.
