“Great location and quality”
Reviewed November 18, 2010

I stayed in Queen hotel already few times and I like great location of the hotel. Rooms are of enough size, everything is quite new, great bathroom. Internet is for free. Breakfast is not of great choice, but it's good.
There is a bar and restaurant downstairs, also for people outside. Food is OK. However, due to the location of the hotel, you have a plenty of restaurants outside. Rooms are quiet, so don't worry about the noise from outside.
There is no free parking, you need to park close for about 15euro/night.
There are discounts for companies, if you arrange a deal.

Stayed at the Queen hotel for one night on the 9th of October. I had requested an extension on my check out time, because I participated in a 6k run on the 10th. Without having to think about it the lady at the reception desk granted my request. The rest of the check in was a breeze too. Room was great and even though the hotel is located in an area with a lot of bars / restaurants you couldn't hear a sound in your room. The only noise that was disturbing was when the doors inside the hotel shut. That happened a lot.
Room was clean and of good size.
Location is excellent. Close to the train station and right in the city center. Breakfast was good. Everything you'd like to have for breakfast was there. Definitely no complaints.
If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel with excellent service ( good staff ) and you are also looking for a great location than the Queen hotel is the place to stay !!

The hotel was a refreshing change from the 4 star concrete towers many business travelers flock to. The ambience was definitely less formal and more relaxing than the big hotels. No pretenses and no franchisese spoken here (Yes sir, yes ma'am, right away sir, no problem sir, etc, etc. etc). They spoke English, Dutch and probably other languages too.

The hotel staff, some more than others, were particularly helpful to help me find a) a fitness center, b) the concentration camp at Vught (some off conference time) c) a place to buy postcards and souvenirs (VVV), d) Evoluon, e) a place to get laundry done when I overslept and missed the early laundry service, and f) a place to buy a camera (Media Mart).

The hotel has a very central location. If you don't like occasional crowds, like for the World Cup final, beach volleyball, etc. then consider a different hotel. The rooms were not large and there was need for a little more desk acreage, but it was tolerable. A laptop and some other papers filled the relatively small desk in the room. The room was fairly high tech, a Philips (what else) flat screen TV, a remote to the air conditioning (very useful in July this year) and a "digital" shower temperature gauge all were nice. It took awhile to figure out how to operate the air conditioning. The phone did not allow me to make international calls. Apparently this was the Dutch phone system's fault. A little more aggressive action by the hotel was in order here. They did offer to let me make free international calls with the mobile phone at the desk, so I can not be too upset. Internet was free for 96 hours. After that I didn't try to go online.

A summary? A great ambience, a great staff, a small high tech room with pine closet and desk, a great location. Breakfast I ate one day. It was abundant for me and was 12.50 Euros. Recommended to those who like a change from franchiseville. Oh, and the windows did open, a prerequisite for my stay. I can tolerate a lot, but not stuffy hotel rooms.

Stayed here for 3 nights with 2 young children aged 4 and 3. Room was located at the back of the hotel and was large, comfortable and most importantly quiet even though there were massive celebrations going on at the front as Holland had just won their first world cup match!

Location was good, few minutes walking distance to bus and train station but yet in hub of restaurants, bars and shops.

I've stayed in the Queens Hotel during the week for the last 7 months! I can tell you that it's one of the friendliest, well-run hotels that I've had the pleasure to stay in. The whole team, from management to reception and bar area, conduct themselves in a curtious and professional manner.

The location is great, right in the heart of Eindhoven with lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The rooms are modern and spacious, (make sure you book in the newer side of the hotel) It's also a lot quieter if you get a room at the back of the hotel.

High speed "free" internet connection is good although there have been a few technical issues.

The bar area is friendly, warm in the winter with powerful heaters out on the terrace, making it comfortable to sit outside.

I've stayed at a few hotels in Eindhoven, but this is by far the best I've experienced.

I arrived at 9:30 PM after travelling by train for hours. There is no food on the trains in the Netherlands, and I had no time to grab a sandwich or a drink, so was really looking forward to this quirky hotel in Eindhoven. But on my arrival I was told that the kitchen was closed, and when asking if it would be possible to get a simple sandwich I was told "no, you will have to go and eat out..." I was really not impressed by that, then discovered that I was staying in one of the smallest room ever for a hotel. If I didn't pay upfront I would have walked out there and then. Luckily I did find somewhere to eat, and please be aware that most proper restaurants tend to close their kitchen about 9 PM unless you go for fast food outlets.
But I was really not in a mood to be told that it was just tough luck for me arriving 30 minutes too late for the kitchen staff. I didn't have breakfast in the morning either, just walked out.
I was trying to book a hotel which is not a multinational chain, like most hotels in Eindhoven, and felt like in some cases Holiday Inn and other souless places of the type might be all you can rely on in Eindhoven.

The hotel was very nice. It was right in downtown on the Markt. The bottom floor was a restaurant/bar which got quite busy in the evenings.
The rooms were very clean, with a nice flat screen TV, but they were very small.
