We had to stay in Eindhoven on a saturday night. The Art hotel was a very comfortable hotel, with a nice twist. The old Philips HQ offices are nicely converted into spacious rooms. Excellent interior design completes the experience.
The staff was very friendly, dinner was excellent, and the hotel has a nice bar area.
Only small remark : airconditioning in the rooms did not seem to work.

We had a room in the old Philips building. We soon realised we'd been upgraded to a suite! Wonderful, huge, very high ceilings, luxury bathroom. The bed was good and it was nice to have a sitting area to relax and full size table to put laptops on (wifi was free!). The only thing I could say about the room was that it was quite dark, the only windows being by the sitting area.
The hotel bar is right in the lobby and serves the usual drinks and tasty little snacks that I would recommend trying!
We had breakfast at the hotel, which I would not do again. The buffet was regularly topped up and staff were friendly but the selection was just okay and there were too few tables for all the guests - people were having their breakfast at the bar, in the lobby, everywhere. Next time I'll go to restaurant Usine next door - breakfast is cheaper, they have a wider selection of food and plenty of tables!
Location of the hotel is very good, right in the city centre, within easy walking distance of the train station (hotel has a private garage underneath too).
I'll be staying here again.

Visited this hotel as part of a large group. We were made very welcome and were delighted that the whole experience lived up to the web site claims. Our room was the largest hotel room we have experienced with excellent decor and furnishings. The only questionable item was the open hanging rail butit meant there was no problem choosing what to wear . You could se it all.

You have to have your wit about you when moving arround the hotel. The floor numbers and room numbers do not correspond and reading the floor notices is essential. The hotel has been created from the old Phillips light bulb factory which is a collection of various buildings with floors that do not necessary level with each other. Adds to the fun of your visit.

This is no ordinary hotel I viited 7 different rooms, by invitation, during my stay. They were all different and very modern in design.

Room Tip: Ours was a corner room and was very bright.

Spacious, clean and good looking room. Well equipped - including iron facilities (should ask at reception and they bring it to you), coffee maker, teapot, tea and coffee, cups, mini bar, safe, free wireless, LCD TV. Also the bathroom is very huge with shower and bath. Near station and in the city center, so location is superb. They serve breakfast every morning and it's your choice what you will choose to eat because the variety is huge.

I loved this hotel, it was such a find!

A former Philips Lighting factory, the rooms were HUGE and very well appointed! The bed was so snug with lovely thick duvet and pillows and great view over the city.

Lots of really nice bars cafe in the square below if you fancy meeting the locals.

Good value breakfast and room service too.

I think this will be my regular Eindhoven hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the old building

It was a pleasant stay in Eindhoven. The rooms are very spacious, bathrooms are well-equipped and the design is great. A tea and coffee-making set comes handy as well as bathrobes. However, there were a few things that I found unpleasant when it comes to day-to-day room keeping. My room was decorated in dark colours (see pictures) and all solid black surfaces unfortunately revealed the fact that dusting was not an often thing to do. So was vacuum cleaning under bedside tables. My shower leaked and a paper holder in the toilet fell down after the first touch (was repaired the next day). But there were no major disappointments, since the decoration is fresh, bed was very comfortable and all towels, bedlinen and bathrobes were immaculately clean & snow white. Breakfasts were well-served and provided a good choice. I didn't have too much contact with the reception desk except for checking in and out, and there I have no complaints. I had a great view from my room which was particularly enjoyable in the evening - with all the lights. Overall, the ambiance, the atmosphere was very nice and relaxed, which was wonderful, considering the very intense working schedule I had during my stay.

Room Tip: My room was great and it was 411 on the 4th floor (overlooking the square in front of the hotel)
