De Kluis is an entirely renovated restaurant smack in the middle of Venlo. Spacious interior and a wonderful terrace with a fine view over the roofs of the town to the Martinuskerk, the central church of Venlo.
We were here for a most pleasant lunch. Fine cold platter, both meats (charcuterie) and sea-food. All as fresh as can be and nicely presented. The Coquilles Saint-Jacques were particularly good and much better than in comparable restaurants. Good wine list and reasonable prices. All was served graciously and with a smile.
There's also an evening opening, and we will certainly come back to try dinner here.
