“True deluxe in Roermond”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2014

Heavily pouring rain made us decide to stay the night in Roermond and rather have a nice dinner instead of driving along. On our last visit we saw a new hotel being built with a lift for the cars to park in the basement. That made us curious. We had no room reservation but wanted to give it a try.
My husband who run into the hotel came back with one of the extremely friendly staff guarding him with an umbrella, room available - big relief - and even space for our car in the basement. Off with the car in the lift. Great idea for historic cities.
The room was fantastic, very spacious, excellent and well designed, great choice of colors, bathroom as well very spacious with a rain shower, separate toilet, and bath tub.
The restaurant was fully booked but the staff made it possible to get us a table. The dinner was amazing, very delicious and great wines available.
The best was yet to come - a very relaxing night and sleep as the beds are very comfortable, the bed linen and duvets extremely comfortable and of the best quality. You really wake up fresh and fit for the day. Worthwhile to mention, I travel a lot but very very rarely see this quality.
The breakfast buffet of the same quality as the whole hotel.
Will for sure go back and can only but highly recommend the DUX Hotel Deluxe in Roermond.

Room Tip: Street rooms have a wonderful view over the river and part of the historic houses. Rooms to the yar...

Beautiful hotel, very nice spacious room with view on the river, good breakfast buffet, very friendly and helpful personal,... Very close to the outlet shopping village. Own private parking and affordable public parking close by. Very satisfied, would definitely go there again.

We reserved a conference room for an all day meeting and were not disappointed. Every one of the staff is ultra friendly. Beautiful hotel; great food. There should be a way to tell off drivers who double park in the parking bays.

Room Tip: Parking is a little awkward; the entrance to the car park could be better displayed.

We spend one night in this incredibly well designed, and perfectly located, boutique hotel. The room was large and very comfortable. The dining room was warm and attractive. We had a very nice dinner and breakfast (included in room rate) and enjoyed walking along the river and through the quaint town. The staff were all very pleasant. A couple of unique features was that it was air-conditioned, which is becoming more important in an ever increasing warm world......and an elevator that takes you and your car to an underground garage...a first for us!

This is a wonderful hotel right in the centre of Roermond, with a lovely view over the river Roer, and situated close to the Cathedral. The area has been revamped and is now a lively part of town, with a string of cafes and restaurants with terraces outside when the weather is nice, and on walking distance from the Outlet. Rooms are large and very well equipped, and extremely tastefully decorated. All very new & design, with beautiful bathrooms, wonderful comfortable box spring beds, Nespresso machine and huge flatscreen tv. There is a nice roof terrace with plans for summer BBQ's. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent, the only thing we did not like much was the loud music in the breakfast room (why?) but luckily the volume was quickly turned down upon our request. All in all, I certainly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are large, beautifully decorated and what a comfortable bed. I was only there for one night on business and would have loved to stay longer. The food was excellent and the team really looked after us.

This privately owned, chic and contemporary hotel is a jewel in the crown of Roermond. Warm welcoming staff to greet arrivals. Swift check in and straight to the room,(402) Wow! Beautifully furnished, a view over the river and sheets on the bed that were just luxurious. Clearly a lot of time has been spent on the finer attention to some details. The coffee machine was a welcome sight although it did take my husband some time to work out how it worked, the instructions were there but it's a man thing not to read them!

The bathroom was huge, high quality furnishings but spoiled by cheap toilet tissue! That's the only criticism, but nevertheless an observation made by both of us.

Breakfast was lovely, buffet style plenty of choice both hot and cold. Relaxed atmosphere and served with smiles from the staff. We didn't have dinner there but the menu looked good.

We are seasoned travellers and have stayed in some top hotels, this was up there with them. The public areas are stylish and elegant. The restrooms downstairs are furnished with the most unusual fittings, very different. It has it's own car park underneath which costs extra or another secure covered car park a very short walk away.

All in all, the Dux deserves to be gift wrapped. It is perfectly placed, very reasonably priced but you'd better book early as it only has 27 rooms. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
