“One of few places with really authentic food”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Lots of very delicious food with authentic strong spicies.
Though very popular and needs reservation. We were with a large group and could
have a big table on the first floor. Had an amazing dinner with great service and real Thai cuisine.

“Expected better”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

We ate at the restaurant on Schuiterdiep a few years ago. So when the restaurant relocated to the larger, smarter premises we decided to pay a visit.

Good points: the restaurant is housed in an attractive and airy room. Service was fine. Prices reasonable.

Negative points: the food was not as good as I remember from the older restaurant. We had Thai fishcakes, a couple of salads, a fish curry and stir fired duck. All of it seemed a little over salted for my taste and the fish curry a little bland. Not by any means bad, but not something that I will rush back too.

“Thai Jasmine - Zuiderdiep”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

There are 2 restaurants! 1 on the Schuitendiep and 1 on the Zuiderdiep. We ate at the Zuiderdiep - this has only been open 9 weeks. Very nice, open restaurant. Food is excellent: we chose the set menu but 'tweeked' it to suit us. Only negative is you come out smelling of the restaurant too.

“(Mostly) Authentic Thai!”
Reviewed October 13, 2012 via mobile

The food, in a word, is wonderful. The flavors are, as far as a non-Thai who's had a lot of Thai food can judge it, mostly authentic, though maybe not spicy enough. They are however wonderfully complex layered and delicious. The servers were friendly but not notable, and the location is good but the decor is a little under-lit. In the end though the food will win you over, for it's wonderful.

The only downside is that in the deserts they use canned fruits. The deserts aren't bad, but they could be better had they used fresh fruits. I can see why it'd be hard to serve fresh Thai food in Holland, though.
