“What a great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

An easy walk from the station to this houseboat on the river. We had a warm welcome to a clean, bright, comfortable self catering room with TV/DVD player and en suite shower. Ducks, coot and river boats passing by to keep you entertained. Really good breakfast on request and tea/coffee and milk provided.

5-10 minutes stroll to the heart of the town which has a couple of good vegetarian eating places. Buses from the station to the nearby national park and the stunning Van Gogh museum. White bicycles free for exploring a wildlife rich area. We had lovely views of red deer.

We really enjoyed our visit and recommend this as a friendly and novel place to stay.

We so enjoyed our stay on the River B&B Anthonia. Our room was spacious, clean and well-equipped. We enjoyed seeing the boats going by - always something new!
We chose the self-catering option and purchased breakfast items in town. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Great value and a great experience!

Ideal location for stroll mainly along Rhine to town centre. Surprisingly spacious room with table, comfy chairs, TV & DVD player and kitchen area (as well as fairly firm twin beds and en suite.) Friendly proprietors (who speak v good English) and advised us as to events, shops, etc. We enjoyed seeing the ducks, grebes etc from our window and watching the passing boats.

We stayed 2 nights self catering. We were welcomed and shown the room (hairdryer included). The rooms were a good size and clean. The galley kitchen was well furnished and there was plenty of tea/coffee and milk. It was very relaxing and well loated for the town centre, however, not noisy. Arnhem itself was a pleasant surprise and we spent a fantastic day at the national park making use of the white bikes. We will defintiely return to both River B&B Anthonia and Arnhem.

The Anthonia has two guest rooms -- which you can book either as self-cetering or B and B (we did B and B). It's a houseboat -- and you overlook the water, and barges (and ducks) go by on the Rhine. A straightforward room and bath (there was no hairdryer), but exactly what we needed. It was a little hard to find -- but such a treat to be pretty much in the center of town yet isolated from it all. Arnhem was a great city to be based in, too. World War II history, plus just a short drive from the palace in Apeldoorn
