We stayed 2 nights self catering. We were welcomed and shown the room (hairdryer included). The rooms were a good size and clean. The galley kitchen was well furnished and there was plenty of tea/coffee and milk. It was very relaxing and well loated for the town centre, however, not noisy. Arnhem itself was a pleasant surprise and we spent a fantastic day at the national park making use of the white bikes. We will defintiely return to both River B&B Anthonia and Arnhem.

The Anthonia has two guest rooms -- which you can book either as self-cetering or B and B (we did B and B). It's a houseboat -- and you overlook the water, and barges (and ducks) go by on the Rhine. A straightforward room and bath (there was no hairdryer), but exactly what we needed. It was a little hard to find -- but such a treat to be pretty much in the center of town yet isolated from it all. Arnhem was a great city to be based in, too. World War II history, plus just a short drive from the palace in Apeldoorn
