“Excellent service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

I stayed here for one night for a business meeting and was extremely happy with the service. Everything was well organized and we were looked after in a way you do not experience in many other places. Nothing was too much!
The facilities are good, the room was great and recently refurbished, the bathroom up to standard, great breakfast buffet and also a super lunch buffet.
Can recommend De Keizerskroon for business as well as leisure!

The keizerskroon is famous in Apeldoorn, very close to the palace 't Loo. So location is perfect, the ambiance in the hotel is very nice, a bit stiff, but not too much. We where given a room on the second floor at the back, so view is limited. The hotel was (re)built in the 70's that is why it has low ceilings in the corridors. The room we had was quite small and had a queensize bed of 1,4 m wide. That is small for 2, or cosy....... The room has been redecorated to the new Bilderberg style, which is nice. The bathroohowever is still oldfashioned, toilet bolted to the floor, small sink and shower in the bathtub. Not a big problem but could do with an overhaul. Cleanliness of the room was good, in the bathroom however only 3 out of 5. The breakfast room was very full with tables so it looked a bit cramped. Selection of food was good. Service could have been better especially bringing coffe or tea to the tables. All in all not to bad, we paid a €119 for room and breakfast for 2. Sorry forgot to add the 6€ of city tax, that makes € 125,- that is the max for the room we had and in my eyes on the higher side. Would I stay again... Depends on the price!

Reading the other reviews I did not expect much, and was positively surprised. Both my room and the bathroom were large - I had a "spacious room" according to the reservation, which was more expensive, but - reading the other reviews - worth it. The room was very quiet. The breakfast was a little disappointing - the choice was good, but individual items (like breads and coffee) were only so-so, nothing great. My rating of average is based on price/value. Somebody complained about the TV - they were upgrading those while I was there.

I stayed in de luxe room for two days. The room is very spacious, with slightly outdated furnishings. The TV set is old and the remote control falling apart. The room had a balcony, but no chairs on it, probably because it was on the ground floor, so we couldn't enjoy the last lovely days of this summer. The staff is excellent and capable, we got all the information we needed. One can purchase the tickets for the Palace Het Loo, which saves one a walk to the main entrance to the park and back to the palace. The breakfast was excellent, fresh and rich, and is served till 11.00 AM.

Main reason for which I've selected this hotel - that they promised that it's pet friendly, and I've traveled with a dog. A dog costs 25 euro per night, and nobody complained about it even when we went for a walk in 4 a.m. (and they had to open door for us). "Welcome" dish with some dog biscuits awaited us in the room.
Room itself is large and clean. The only thing about it is that internet is for extra money (17 euro per day or 75 per a week) - and sometimes there it a trouble to connect!
Breakfast is good, but every day the same selection. There is a very good restaurant next door that I used for a dinner (dinner in hotel is not bad, but very slow for me).
Hotel is located in the quiet part of the town, 2 km from the center. It has large free parking, and road out from the town is short enough (if you have business in other parts of country).
So I'll recommend this hotel for travelers with pets, and for business travels. Or if you want quiet place in the center of country.

My daughter and I shared a room in this hotel for three nights in August. We were with the Essex and Kent Scottish tour of battlefields, culminating in three nights in Dieppe France to commemorate the Dieppe Raid on August 19, 2012. The room was comfortable and quiet, the beds were good and we left the door open for air. The balcony was cute and garden like with shrubs. The breakfast was fine, but there were no prunes!! There should always be prunes at these buffet breakfasts. We ate one night at the hotel dining room (table cloths, quite expensive but a special had been arranged for our tour), and one night in the centre of Apeldoorn (less formal, better value). While this locatio accommodated our two bus group, if I was traveling with family only I would try for a more central location.

Nice and easy hotel. Good serve and the staff is very attent to the comfort of the guests. The accomodation is becominga little bit outdated, but it still answers to a high standard.
The restaurant serves a good quality.
A minus is the wifi. You have to pay for it. I think a free wifi should be the standard.
