“who looks at who?”

We live close by and go regularly. We always wonder who's looking at who here...
Most monkeys walk around freely in their enclosures. Watching them without barriers is a funny thing, sometimes they watch you or touch you which leeds to astonishment every single time. The last time I went a lemur just sat on my foot for 10 minutes. Quite the experience. Yes it is hard not to reach out your hand and pet them but please remember not to. They do bite. (like every domestic cat , dog, mouse or bird if they 've had enough)
The park is perfect for a daytrip. With enough food and drinks and great coffee! The caretakers often walk around the enclosures and they are more than happy to explain anything you want to know.
A great day of fun even when its blistering hot because most of the park is covered with a lush forest to keep you cool. Big playgrounds throughout the park for kids of all ages! Enjoy!

My 3rd visit, but last visit was 11 years ago.
Still easy to find, plenty of parking spaces and well maintained.

It seems as if there are not as many monkeys as previously. And also the monkeys are not as tame as previously.
Personally I preferred it with more monkeys that would come really close.

But still a great day out.

Went there right after a storm that had chased a lot of visitors out. And it was 3 or 4pm, which was too late for the feeding shows. So the park was far from crowded.
The park is pleasant and big. It makes you walk a lot. The activities along the way are well thought. They enable the kids to be active for a while and to forget about the walk.
It was an extremely pleasant experience enjoyed by both children (7 years old) and adults.

Apenheul is one of our kids favourties, they loved walking amongst the small free monkeys, just trying to spot them between the trees. There are a couple of places to have a snack but in the weekend and during the holidays they are overpacked so you might want to bring your food and find a quieter place to enjoy it. The children playgrounds are fantastic, especially the one that resembles a jungle village. Children can enjoy for hours while we sit in the terrase with a cup of coffee. In a top day it can be overwhelmingly crowdy but if you choose a quiet day this is a top visit with children.

I hadn’t been here for a few years, and I didn’t see the remodel yet but they did an amazing job! The new park is absolutely great: especially all the extra space the monkeys have. Really a must see for everyone!
