“Perfect little cottage”
Reviewed May 11, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We immediately felt at home after arriving to a little welcome pack and being greeted by Rachael (the owner).

The cottage is lovely, clean, tidy and well presented with all the facilities we needed (including wifi). It is very comfortable and warms up nicely with a log fire.

Well situated for walk in the Peak District, never far from a trail or cycle path. Easy parking along the road and two pubs within walking distance, the Pack Horse Inn served very good food.

The cottage itself and the location meant we had everything we need to enjoy our time in the Peak District and when we come back, Ruby Cottage is top of the list.

“Just right for a walking holiday”
Reviewed April 3, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Ruby Cottage is ideal for a walking holiday.
Pro's are:-
Friendly welcome from the owner, comfortable clean cottage just right for two with log burner. Everything works nicely (shower, heating, kitchen appliances etc.) There is a well equipped kitchen.
Everything you might need has been thoughtfully provided, WiFi, phone, walking map, flask for your coffee and even a pint of milk and a roll cling film to wrap your sandwiches ready for your next big adventure.
The village is post card material, there's a pub nearby, two convenience shops, a fish and chip shop and a post office so you can survive without driving to the nearest town's 24x7 superstore. In the next village another pub serves brilliant food.
There are some good walks nearby so you don’t have to drive and the rest of the white peak area surrounds the village.

Cons - none

Highly recommended !
