What a little gem! The food was just delicious. Lots of choice, very generous portions, and the best chips ever! The puddings were to die for, make sure you save some room for one! The staff were all great, really nice and friendly. Make sure you book a table in advance as it gets very busy even midweek. I can see why! Will definitely be back.

We stayed 2 nights at the Royal Oak campsite and ate at the pub both nights. The food was excellent - loads to choose from and really hearty portions. The desserts were beautiful too. They also have a good range of ales on tap to work your way through of an evening. The staff are really friendly and the pub was busy both nights (Tuesday & Wednesday) so it had a good atmosphere. We'll definitely be back as there are several desserts we still need to try!

A real must for all visitors to the area. Try the ploughmans, it's a real plate full of lovely food. Book to avoid disappointment. Great service and very friendly staff

We stopped off at the Royal Oak after being out and about in the Peaks ready for a big meal. We were not disappointed with the quality of the food or service. My son and I had burgers, which were huge, came with lovely coleslaw and chips, my hubby an excellent pie and my 5 year old daughter sausages and chips from the kids menu.
The ambiance was great and the owner very organised, friendly and running a great pub.
Thanks! We will definitely head back again sometime.
