“An Excellent Medieval Monument”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2013

A well preserved medieval monument adjacent to Lamphey Court Hotel and well worth a visit.

On the day we visited the heavens opened and we were soaked but that still did nothing to dampen our enjoyment of the site. The lady in the office was a mine of information so feel free to ask away about anything related to the site.

very well kept and restored, very interesting and the information sheets were helpful. The guide in the office was really helpful and gave us some interesting facts about the palace and the bishops.

highly recommended.

“Nice stop over”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

The entrance charge of £3.50 is quite reasonable. The lady at the gift shop who also collects the payments is lovely. You can also have coffee there and I ended up buying the chutney and a mood ring from the gift shop as they are all lovely local products on sale.

“Wonderful architecture and peaceful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

The grandure of this palace is obvious to any visitor. It is hard to believe that the buildings were overgrown with ivy and that the lawn was used for tennis for so many years. Cadw have done a fantastic job to restore the place as near as they can to its former glory. It would be great to see it fully restored.

“Quick visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

Paid Lamphey Palce a quick visit on check out of Lamphey Court Hotel. Was ok took about 10 minutes to walk around the ruins. Thought the price was a bit steep for what was there. Without going into the history of Bishops Palace thers not much else to say. Would not have seeked the place out but ok if passing .
