We enjoyed a few hours at the Cultural Village. I highly recommend it! The guided tour lasts about 45 minutes. We were treated to a traditional greeting from the chief and subsequently by his 3 wives. Each of them, according to their tradition, offered food to us. Beer, porridge, and ground meal. The village progressed from primitive to more modern day depictions. Many of their skills, buildings and traditions were demonstrated. Their medicine and traditional healing was also shown. The healer made us an offer to come back after our tour and he would give us a consultation. At the end of the tour we were treated to traditional music complete with an accordion. There was sufficient shade that sunscreen is not a necessity. Bring good walking shoes and the walkways are uneven. I will go again and bring some of my friends. It's worth a special trip; at the same time you can enjoy the Golden Gate Highlands National Park with its abundant game.
