we had a company dinner there, someone reserved for 15 and when we got there no one knew about anything.

i had a pizza and to make sure it is especially nice i got a "d.o.c." one. unfortunately that did't help - even the "first class pizza" wasn't nice. there are many places in zürich that have a lot better pizza. probably they don't need good food as they are in such a nice location...

we were walking along the lake front and found this quiet restaurant. Had a very good pizza, some wine and enjoyed the location. Would be very good for dinner

To be fair, I shouldn't have ordered a salad in an Italian restaurant. The Italians are great at pasta and pizza, but salad is not their speciality. In this restaurant, it's the worst salad I've ever had. A few pieces of green and white asparagus, a few cherry tomatoes and some spindly green excuses for leaves. It should also have had red onions, but they forgot to put them on the plate. The dressing was sparse too. The whole thing tasted of nothing. Anyway, the olive bread was quite good, so that made up for the shortfall in quantity. This restaurant is all about location...and you pay for it. Outside and next to the lake, it's great for people-watching. But being outside, you have no choice but to do some passive-smoking if you want to enjoy the sunshine. Zurich is a beautiful city and this restaurant is in a beautiful location. But, as with most of Zurich, it's way too expensive and smoky.

We always ate very well there with family & friends!

Never upset, everything is good, perfect pizzas but with Zürich prices! CHF 27 for a pizza even if it is in ZH, it's scandalous when we know how much it cost to make a pizza. (!) Better take a meat or pasta.

But the situation is perfect near the lake, the deco inside very elegant and there is space between the tables. Waiters are quick & professional. They know how to help you select a wine & they are very kind too!
If you speak italian maybe it helps. ;-)

After being told by a morose waiter that we couldn't have anything to eat in the bar section we decided for one helping of tirami su and a slice of apple-pie plus one bottle of mineral water. The desserts were ridiculously small-sized (large sushi sizes) but priced Piazza Grande style: Tiramisu: 12 francs, apple pie 9 francs, water 7 francs. There is absolutely no justification for such daylight robbery, after all, this is only a pizzeria with some fancy couches and a view. If you feel like throwing your money away: give the accordion players along the lake-side a lavish donation. You'll feel much better.
