I was there to eat lunch.. I tried the beef steak and some sort of pasta with a tomato sauce the food was excellent but I felt like we weren't welcomed by seeing how the waitress was treating us she was trying to act politely but it was so obvious that she didn't liked us

My companions and I all enjoyed our food. The service was poor to mediocre-in the end we waited forever for the check. Also the wine pourings are chintzy!

Had fish soup followed by a Niçoise salad. The soup was OK though needed seasoning despite I am not a salt lover.
The Niçoise salad was made using good ingredients but the grilled tuna on it was cold by the time it reached our table and all together the salad was mediocre especially for the hefty price we paid for it.
The service was cold and unwelcoming. Not returning.

Fish soup- excellent. wiener schnitzel - good, french fries OK and eggplant a disappointment ( as well as an awfully small portion).

We happened upon this place while just strolling down the street and were pleasantly surprise. Great wait staff, the food arrived quickly, and it was good.

Thank you so much for leaving four points and a nice review. The Brasserie Lipp is located close to all major known hotels and most of them in walking distance. We call ourself to be in the heart of the city. You will figure this once you have gone throught the restaurant and taking the elevator to the 11th floor to the Jules Verne Panoramicbar. The view from there is outstanding. Starting your dinner experience up there with a cocktail followed by a dinner reservation at The Brasserie Lipp will make your stay in Zurich an absolute hit.
