Visited Brasserie Lipp for the first time yesterday after having always wanted to go in. We were 3 people 2 female and 1 male. The service was excellent, attentive and friendly but not overbearing. The maître'd was absolutely charming.
I had moules frites which I love and there aren't many places serving them at this time of year, I was not disappointed. Delicious food.
The prices here are typical for Zürich and even if people find it expensive, if you want quality you have to pay for it. Also, it's not easy to find a good restaurant open on a Sunday in Zurich.
After dinner we went up to the bar on the 11th floor for a drink and to enjoy the view and that was absolutely lovely too.
We will definitely be back and will bring out English and German visitors here.

Just OK, particularly for the price. The salad was not remarkable as is often the case when not tossed. The seafood was not exceptional. Service was attentive, but not welcoming.

Was dying to go there and envelop myself into the atmosphere, be spoiled and worshipped and enjoy the chic, nouvelle cuisine or whatever =)
Maybe I expected more from it, but I still loved having dinner there. The food was good, even though I don't exactly remember what I ordered, except that it was meat =) The wine selection I gave up to my Spanish friend who knew better anyway and he picked Chateau Bolaire. Good choice.
The staff is nice and helpful.
I'm originally from Ukraine, and a waiter there was from Russia, though it was nice to meet someone who I could share a familiar language with.
All in all, I always wanted to go and I went and I'm not disappointed.

This restaurant is expensive, but many people from Zurich visit it often. A professional place. Well know for it's seafood.

Since so many years this is the place for business lunch... many because everyone know the menu which never change. Good classic brasserie food. Fast and pro service. It is a brasserie so it is noisy and the table are too small.
