We stayed at the hotel at the end of the street (The Guest House) where we got a 5 CHF coupon to Kobis Stubli (powered by Mr. Pepper). When you see the pepper on the front you think it is a Mexican restaurant which would be pretty rare here. But actually it is what I call a Swiss/Italian/American restaurant. Extensive menu in German and English we ordered the chicken kabob which was chicken with onions and green peppers that came with a large order of fries. We also ordered a side salad that came with a basket of pita bread and we split everything - it was more than enough food for both of us. The chicken was tender and the fries were crisp. With the chicken and peppers with a small amount of spice it was very reminiscent of a fajita. I took the pita and split it open and packet it with chicken and it made a decent fajita.
They also have pizza which looked amazingly good and a large variety of other dishes. The waitress spoke a limited amount of English but it wasn't a problem. Everything was very good, the portions American sized, and the price, by Zurich standards, was very decent.
