Cabaret Voltaire is one of my favorite places in Zurich. Birthplace of Dadaism, this 98 year-old cafe still is one of the best places for students and artists.
Weekly events, including free movie night (which also includes free pop corn), and many special occasions (talks with global artists, performances, concerts, ...) makes it an ideal place after a boring day in the office.
The staff are beyond friendly, the drinks and coffee are good, and the interior is awesome. There is also a special art shop downstairs. Unlimited wifi is available for free. The only drawback is that they don't accept cards, so make sure that you carry some cash. They do not offer any food, and the range of drinks is rather limited, but it is enough for a great experience.
