There are a lot of Churches in Zurich, they are all well worth the visit. We went with a tour group and was told interesting facts about the Church and design of it.

We were so fortunate to be in Zurich during the Zuri Fest - which happens only every 3 years. This church is right on the river (Hence Wasserkirche i.e.: water church) and we were able to watch a person on a tight rope and other fun things going on. This photo is of the entrance the person taking pic must of been standing under the roof in a gazebo-ish, open side area. Loved the entire area.

The Wasserkirche is a church built on a small island in the Limmat, situated between the two main churches of medieval Zürich, the Grossmünster and the Fraumünster, at the Limmatquai and the Münsterbrücke. It seems likely that the original building was used for cult meetings. The meetings were centered on a stone now located in the crypt of the church. According to medieval tradition, the site was used for the execution of Saints Felix and Regula. The church was built in the 10th century and modified at various points, culminating in a complete reconstruction that was completed in 1486. Eventually it was secularised, becoming the first public library of Zürich in 1634, when it became a seat of learning that greatly contributed to the foundation of University of Zürich in the 19th century. The length of the visit is about 45 minutes.

Wasserkirche(=Water Church) is located right next to River Limmat. Easy to reach when you are walking along River Side towards Lake Zürich and Tram Stop right there too. On one side of the Church you can find famous Zwingli Statue

Worth to visit if you want to experience the Zwingli / Lutherian spirit. Church is very focused on telling the word - with ist little interior there are only few other to focus on. Also nice, if you can hear a concert.
