Uetliberg is 869 metres above sea level and is Zurich's local mountain.
We visited in May 2013 on a misty rainy day. Still, we got a good view from the top and it was worth the visit.
To get there use the S10 line from Zurich Central Station to Uetliberg Station which you can't miss as it is the terminus. It is apparently the steepest normal rail line in Europe. From here, it is about a 10 minute walk uphill to the viewing platform at the top. At the top is also the hotel Uto Kulm. I believe the restaurant is open to the public. Public toilets are avalable also.
