All in all it was a really nice trip. The view was not so nice due to the construction site next to the hotel, but service and comfort were pretty good. Breakfast was awesome! Tram next to the hotel, perfect!
The hotel is situated two or three tram stops away from the Zurich West center of activity, and 7 or 8 tram stops from the historic center of town - public transport is reliable, safe and cheap, so the distance is no real draw back. Many hotel call themselves 'design' if something is lacking. Not the case here - the hotel has great design. And the vibe is hip. When I arrived, there was a table tennis championship going on in the court yard. participants were asked not to smoke weed on premises. The bar was bustling (Friday night). Reception was genuinely friendly, helpful and relaxed. The rooms have some great detailing (part of the wall separating bathroom and bedroom is glass. The bathroom is covered in small circular nobs, some of which are silver, and the rest various shades of dark pink and cherry. The beds are good, and the cushions are great. In the next few months there will be a Sheraton next door, so the area will have even more nightlife. The hotel makes available for free bicycles and their fleet of Minis. Stay here!
Stayed here during our biz trip to Zurich. It clearly is a modern and cool hotel but it's trappings are not very conducive for biz travel.
Firstly its not the most easy hotel to get to. The one tram that stops in front of the hotel broke down due to an accident and we were compelled to take very expensive cab rides to the city. If we had to consider the train, it was a 20 min walk to hardbrucke which is not practical with luggage.
We arrived before check in time and we needed to freshen up before our first meeting. While there was a changing room connected to the sauna, there was no clear segregation between male and female shower rooms so it was rather awkward.
In terms of the room, it was reasonably sized and modern but lacked simple amenities like an ironing board or moisturizer.
All in all, I will not consider this hotel again for biz travel.

After working off and on in Zurich over the past year, staying in mediocre places that offered little comfort or service, I'd like to thank everyone at the 25hours for delivering a fantastic experience.
My favourite feature of the hotel are the beds. I always have a great nights sleep, tucked sweetly into the fluffy double duvets. And of course the price is right - Zurich is expense, but the 25hours is certainly not.
West Zurich is also a fantastic area to stay, with plenty on offer if you take the time to explore including excellent restaurants housed in converted warehouses.
we only need one night stay in Zurich while on our way to Luzern. It was between this and The Dolder Grand. We chose this one as we as it looks fun and different on the website. It was Friday evening with the ping pong party event going on, the hotel didnt have the porter who would help you with the luggages it was more like a easy check in check out no fuss style. The room we booked was very large with huge balcony but the view was really nothing. Love the design and everything in there. Bath area was spotless and they gave you huge bottles of amenities. The towels were fluffy and clean so was the bedding, really love the fact that on top of a white duvet they gave you a cute brown cosy blanket. Everything in the room and hotel was design oriented and coming from creative profession I so love it.
The hotel may be in what feels like a slightly odd location (feels slightly surreal surrounded by ominous building works and offices), but it seems like the area is very much up-and-coming. However, once inside, an oasis of calm - and extreme coolness - awaits.
Beautiful staff, achingly hip rooms, free bike hire and the world's most astonishingly good breakfast are all asking to be taken advantage of.
Can't recommend the place highly enough!!
