We are always on the lookout for a great Brunch location, where ever we happen to be in the world. We are currently in Zurich for a few years (hopefully, it is a great place), and were told to try out the Fork & Bottle for Brunch. We were hesitant because not all of the feedback has been positive. However, this past Sunday, together with our two pre-teen children, my wife and I decided to stop by, without Reservation. The place was quite busy, and almost full.

The menu is pretty much 'American Brunch'. The ambiance was hectic; very much family focused. We sat downstairs even though there is a large room upstairs with a play area for children just beside it. The menu provides a good mix. The food overall was good. The service excellent (even though we heard you had to wait quite awhile - that was not the case at all).

The children enjoyed the food but were ecstatic over the Smoothies. I didn't think they had such things in Switzerland (aside from bad tasting drinks sold in bottles at grocery stores). Needless to say, we were all pleasantly surprised (yes, even my wife and I indulged). They were excellent. A must to try even though I was told they are only currently served during brunch on Sundays.

All in all a fun family experience. We recommend to give it a try (whatever you order will be good, but be sure to include a Smoothie for a special pleasure.) . For Switzerland, we felt that the pricing is reasonable.

PS. Be sure to make a reservation (we got lucky without one).

Happy Brunching.

Fork and Bottle is a great place where we can count on friendly faces, good food, a fantastic beer selection (which is surprisingly hard to come by in Zurich), and a comfortable environment. We like to go to the restaurant because it feels like a taste of home, but even friends and family who visit from the US are thrilled to go and try out the long list of European craft beers. The food is delicious and their fish dishes are particularly tasty. They have a great fish supplier and everything is super fresh. My husband recently tried the Guinness Beef Pie and it was phenomenal! The menu changes regularly, though there are always some staples you can count on seeing.
In the summer they have a lovely beer garden, as well. We have both been to and hosted parties there, and they have been handled wonderfully.
One of the my favorite features of Fork & Bottle these days is the upstairs dining area with a connected playroom. There are very few places where I can go and enjoy a meal with a rambunctious toddler in tow. Fork & Bottle has a large play area with a whole slew of toys (and more often than not, some playmates) to keep kids entertained.

The food is rubbish, at least it was today. Stale bread, pre-cooked bacon, hot chocolate the just tastes like sugar.
The service is non existent and the staff arrived straight in from a night out.
Nice rooms, but without the other, just forget it.

We love going to Fork and Bottle. The service is very friendly, the beer menu is very good and quite extensive...
Brunch on a Sunday is a firm family favorite.....My favorite is the eggs Benedikt! It can be very busy and booking a table is highly recommended.
Over the weekends they have a gastro pub menu. We have had some amazing meals there.
We have been going there for nearly a year now and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

If you like your craft beers - this is the place to visit! And Diane was brilliant! Pity lunch menu was not available - so got rather smashed! No.1 Craft Beer destination. We were on European research tour with Small Bar Fly,
