“Was expecting more...”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

I have heard lots of good and bad reviews, but decided to make my own decisions!!
It was OK!!
Not sure as we have lived here a few years now and we are becoming Swiss and expect more.
The service was very very slow! I only see on waitress upstairs the whole 3.5 hours I was there. The waitress was very nice girl and was friendly but completely over worked and under staffed!!
Yes we were a big party of 12, but to wait 40 mins for a drink????
The food was Ok!!
And we have since worked out the bill, we think we paid over 30chf to much!!!!!
It was a special brunch for a "wet the baby's head"

“A great expat restaurant”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

We had dinner here on a Friday night when there was a live band playing. Sadly I didn't call in advance to scope out the gluten free options and on the night my options were a little limited. In saying that I ordered the salad with the deep fried brie (minus the brie, sadly as it's not gf) and it was very nice. A little heavy handed with the dressing, but still quite nice.
We also ordered some 'wedges' which were more like chips and the spinach dip - delicious!! The atmosphere here is great, it's a very family friendly place and the beer menu is one of the best I have seen in a while.
We haven't been here for brunch yet but after the reviews I think we will stop by and next time I'll call in advance to organise some gf options.
If you intend on going Friday night or even for brunch I would recommend making a reservation as the tables fill up very quickly. The staff are very helpful and quite a lot of them are actually native english speakers which is a nice little added bonus.
If you go shopping at Shilcity forget the restaurants there, walk 5 more minutes down the road and eat at Fork and Bottle.

“Brilliant place to chill”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Fantastic place and so different from anywhere else in the surrounding area . Food is exceptional , service efficient , prices very reasonable for Zurich .

The outdoor seating area is relaxing , gardens are very pretty and plenty of space not to feel cramped . Indoors is cosy and warm with good decor and friendly banter . The veggie burger is just ' the best ' , give it a go , even if you are not a veggie . Good choice of wine and beers , so everyone is happy . Family friendly and very accommodating .

“The outside garden is gorgeous and the brunch very nice”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

Brunch is an highlight of this cozy restaurant run by Americans (which as any foreigner living in Zurich will tell you, is such a huge bonus that we could even end here the review).
The owner personally selects microbrews from the northern part of Italy (Lombardia mostly, IIRC), which adds a nice touch to burgers that in fairness would not be particularly special. The service is really nice (smiles, ladies and gentlemen, as you don't see the like in most restaurants in this city) and it's a bit hard to find place in busy days. The restaurant is often chosen by expats and has a large selection of brunch dishes while staying with a more traditional western meat-oriented menu for dinner.
The garden outside is just perfect.
