If you are in Zurich and want a complete Swiss dinner experience, this is the place. It was the best meal ever had in town. The restaurant is owned by the same family since 1949 and as soon as you step in you will be transported to a cabin in the Alps. Low ceiling, all wooden walls, decoration thought into the details, traditional Swiss furniture, including an Swiss oven where the front is used in the kitchen and the back to heat the restaurant (very Swiss). The restaurant is in a quiet residential area outside downtown Zurich. The food was fantastic: the veal cordon bleu was the best I had and the wine list - though short - was very good. The owner - Rosmarie - is very kind and gentle and after she knew this was the first time in the place, she made us a fantastic surprise of offering a set of Swiss desserts that were perfect. In the end, we had a shot of a strong liqueur - offered by Rosmarie - made of a strange Swiss fruit that appears for a few weeks every year. In sum, perfect. The restaurant also has an outside area for warmer days. Will certainly come back.
