This hotel is AMAZING. The rooms are BRAND new with very expensive designer furniture. The hotel just opened (in 2012). The building used to be an old beer brewery. They completed gutted it and built a luxurious hotel. There is a huge heated pool/jacuzzi on the roof that is absolutely insane! It is open all year round and it provides incredible views of Zurich and the surrounding Alpine mountains. Sitting in this 100 degree pool/jacuzzi and looking out over Zurich is a surreal experience. The basement of the hotel houses a spa that hotel guests can access for a discount (~20 Euros a guest). This is also completely worth it! The spa is brand new and has ~8 different thermal spas/baths. There is a steam room and many lounge areas. Simply put - the spa is incredible - just as good as any Las Vegas 5-star spa! If you go to Zurich, this is a MUST-stay!!! The beer/soda/beverages in the mini fridges are included in the room price. And, they have a spectacular library with 35k+ books where they serve breakfast (and other meals). The included breakfast is also incredible.

Stayed here 3 nights. Got upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The hotel location is very good, in a quiet area but close to Bahnhofstrasse and Old Town by tram/bus. Front desk staff very friendly, willing to answer any questions, gave me a walk through of the hotel, amenities, features etc., even showed me to my room and explained how everything worked etc. - nice touch. Room was spacious, contemporary feel with remnants of the old brewery preserved which adds a nice historical touch. The mini bar is included in the room price, restocked every day. They have beer from the brewery but I didn't try it (not a beer drinker) although I'm told it's very good. Didn't use the spa but took a look when I had a few minutes to spare, looks very nice. Next time I come I'll make sure to try it out. Breakfast included in my rate but I had early morning breakfast meetings elsewhere so didn't try the hotel's but from what I saw it looked fine. Wifi in room was a bit slow at times but not too big a deal. Overall a very nice hotel, great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. I'll return here and can recommend to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the front of the hotel, mine faced the back which looked out at a real estate...

I stayed her during a 4 day business trip and overall I was happy. The hotel is very nice and the staff are very helpful. You are walking distance to the city center, which is also a plus. The room was great, very clean and modern. The only negative was the limited dinner menu and the fact you had to pay to use the pool (it's part of the spa), which I did not appreciate before arriving.

From the moment I dragged my suitcase across the cobble-stoned car park and was met by the lovely reception staff at the door I knew I was going to enjoy my stay at the B2.

The site is an old brewery, and the owners have managed to convert the building into a luxury hotel whilst preserving it's history. The staff all exuded genuine pride for the place and that was infectious.

Our room was frankly stunning and modern, and the hotel staff were amongst the most helpful I've ever met.

Didn't get chance to try the rooftop pool / jacuzzi on this trip, but we've been advised to return during the snow to appreciate that at it's fullest (and may well do that in the future).

All in all, a quirky place with excellent service and facilities and I'd have no hesitation staying there again.

This is quite a special hotel, first of all because not many hotels in Zurich have 'character'. This one certainly does, not only because it is located in the old Hurlimann brewery. On first look the location seems a bit awkward, however it is easy walking distance to the centre and via a pathway behind the hotel you get to the sihlcity commercial centre in no time. The entire hotel is very tastefully decorated, and the rooms even more so. The rooms are spacious, have complimentary wifi and drinks, with an interesting bathroom. The big bonus is the spa on the last floor with a pool/bath which covers the roof and offers spectacular views over Zurich. My only very slight criticism, and it is very slight, is that the restaurant tries too hard to be different. In my view hotel restaurants should remain relatively straightforward, because if you want something different one usualy ventures out.

This is a unique hotel built around an old brewery, with "Brewing" features throughout. Not really for business customers, but would suit younger trendy couples. This is "Boutique", rather than 5 star. The rooms are large but almost industrial in design. Breakfast is continental, and the evening meal options limited, but adequate. Relatively central, if you want something a bit different, book here!

Room Tip: If you want a bath rather than a shower, specify this!

Such a shame to say that I won't be staying here again, I had hoped it would really shine as a unique destination and it did for the first few hours until I used the rooftop jacuzzi. It isn't a pool but a heated jacuzzi, filled with couples being intensely physically intimate. The same can be said for the thermal baths. Unless you are one of these couples the 'spa' is not for you. The rooms are sparse but elegant, the lack of carpet was a surprise. I not sure I'm keen on a bath in the bedroom. The small range of room service was a surprise for the cost of this hotel each night. The spa staff were very rude although the hotel reception staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast is average only and starts quite late at 7.30.

Room Tip: Really, for honeymooners and couples only.
