Odeon is a former gay-bar in the centrum of Zurich, but now you will find mixed people drinking and eating. Most of the time it's full - but if you're lucky you will get a window table and you can watch the people passing by. Odeon is open until 4 am.

It is better than I expected as one of the standard guidebooks - maybe the Rough Guide - to Switzerland was critical of the service. That Criticism is unjustified, I have been there a few times and service is friendly and efficient. It is small and can get busy. Seems to have a history as a favorite hangout for European exiles in the 1910's. Prices seem to me in line for the location which is very good on the "genteel" side of Niederdorf.

Nice place in Zurich city center, for having a glass and chat with friends. Most of the time crowded and noisy.

I stopped in for a martini after the Zurich Film Festival and met every regular at the bar. Everyone is so nice and laid back. Even bought me my 1st drink! They also send you a free glass of champagne on your bday. Historical bar where legends used to hang out. Great location and the food is really good too!!! Wide variety on the menu. I go at least once a month.

This is were the Zurich intelligentsia has breakfast, lunch, and the apero before dinner. It is a melting pot of Zurich culture at different hours.
