The hotel is ok, but I would rate it 3 stars not 4 as it claims to be. Breakfast average. Staff at recepcion good, attentive, polite. Service during breakfast was non-existent. Every morning at breakfast there was no wait staff to assist guests. Tables that were not occupied were still full with dirty dishes left by guests, it seemed that there was not enough staff on the floor. Complaints were voiced but nothing changed. Staff appeared to be poorly trained, there was hardly any greeting or acknowledgement. We have stayed at the Novotel in Vienna the week before and everything was faultless. This one is the worst Novotel hotel we have stayed in.
Opposite the thotel across the park, where the Fitness centre is (visible from the front door of the hotel), there is a good choice of restaurants, coffee shops, hair salon, etc. We ate at the Thai restaurant there and the meals even though a bit pricey were of high standards and the restaurant Angkor is beautifully decorated and the service was excellent.More
