The site of former roman fortifications, this is the central area from where Zurich was originally built out from. In the area of Linderhofplatz, you can still see some of the old fortifications and old city walls. Excavations at the site date activity there back to at least the bronze age. From the park, you can get wonderful views of of Niederdorf section of Old Town and the Grossmunster Church across the Limmat River. And of course, it is a great place to catch a breather while discovering Old Town. Definitely worth at a minimum a quick visit for the great views.
