Definitely come mainly for the great view. I guess some of the reviews I read online and even some books list this as "Zurich's most beautiful park". Well, I wouldn't go by that as there isn't too much to this park. If this is "Zurich's most beautiful park" I'd hate to see the others.
The park mostly consists of some gravel type dirt/rocks and trees. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice park but I just didn't think it was anything too special for being one of Zurich's supposed most beautiful parks.
It is a good escape to come up here and worth doing for the view alone. At the top of the hill by where you will take photos there is also a drinking fountain where you can refill your bottles.
On the opposite end of the park they have a few swings and there were some old men playing Chess on a big chess board. That was nice to see.
If you continue on the side and go down the other side of the hill you will see a grassy area to sit down or kids were kicking around a soccer ball. And if you have small kids, they will enjoy the small kids playground. Not too big but it has a swing, a bigger swing that will fit 2/3 kids, a slide and a rope ladder type pyramid to climb up.
There is also a coin operated restroom near the kid's park here along with several benches.
All in all an ok park but go in with reasonable expectations as for European Parks go..it's nothing to write home about. But do come up for the amazing view.
