“Most expensive lift in the world..?!?”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

It's a funny little thing - perhaps you could call it the most expensive lift in the world. We took it to get from town to ETH, it seemed to be full all the time so perhaps a good alternative to taking the stairs, but next time I'd rather walk. Interesting attraction though!

“Not a main attraction, but nice”
Reviewed December 10, 2013

In my opinion the Polybahn isn't an attraction in itself, but it sure is the nicest and shortest way to get from the station "Central" to the terrace of the Federal Polytechnical Institute (look it up, because this, in turn, IS something very worth visiting!).

“Nice touch to tour of old town”
Reviewed December 6, 2013 via mobile

The ride is modern and clean, and doesn't cost anything if you already have the ticket for zone 110. No waiting, and photo ops at the top. Why not?

“A nice little trip.”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

I like to travel on funiculars and this is worth a trip. Although the trip only takes about 3 minutes it is a good way to get to the university and there is a good view once you get there.

“Great Photo Opportunities Are Waiting At The Top”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

This is a great little nostalgic tram that will take you from the Limmattquai up a hill really close to ETH and the University of Zurich. I highly recommend this three minute ride up hill because from the top you will have absolutely magnificent views of Zurich and the Limmatt River. I was able to get terrific panoramic photos on the way up and from the ETH University which is about sixty yards to the right of the train stop at the top.
