If fondue is your craving then get down to Fribourger Fonduestubli, in a quiet street just outside the CBD. The menu is quite limited: two types of cheese fondue and some side orders, followed by a handful of desserts.
The room is always packed so book ahead and expect a short wait when you get there. The fondue is presented to the table bubbling in its caquelon and off you go. The highlight of the fondue experience is, of course, the scraping of la religieuse (the cooked-on cheese) from the bottom of the pot.
Friendly staff. Great fondue. Good prices.
