Special exhibitions (very interesting Picabia when we were there), well known art & artists spanning the years & everything from Modern to Old Masters to Sculpture...even a Miro Wall in the outside cafe area. Full of great art of all kinds...just go....!

Wonderful paintings from all eras. I particularly liked the Matisse, Gaugin, Van Gogh, Monet, Andy Warhol, Kandinsky and Eduard Munch paintings

We came here for the exhibition on works of Picabia which was great. We were surprised by the quality of the museums own collection both on famous modern artist as of some artist we had not seen any work of before we came here. For example Hodle and August Giacometti (a cousin of Alberto). We feel that this is one of the better Museums in Europe and will come back after the large extension is finished so we can see even more of the collection.

You definitely need to visit this beautiful art museum when in zurich even if you find yourself there for one day. Living there I have visited the place a couple of times each time focusing on different artists. There s also a cafe and gift shop

Kunsthaus Zurich is one of those art museums you never get tired of visiting, I know I don't. The museum's outstanding permanent collection offers the visitor a nice range of work to view. Everything from the Old Master's to works from the later 20th century on.

Throughout the museum's galleries, you can see notable works by artists such as; Rembrandt, Brueghel, Manet, Poussin, Degas, van Gogh, Picasso, Warhol, Léger, Rothko, Baselitz and two enormous water lily paintings by Monet. Swiss artists such as Hodler and Böcklin are well represented.

Most of my visit was spent viewing works from the later 1800's on, aided by a free informative audio guide. The pacing of the art throughout the galleries was well done. Photos without flash of the permanent collection were allowed. The staff was helpful with questions. Entry for the permanent collection is 15 Swiss Francs and is more than worth it.

This excellent art museum is easily reached by foot or public transportation. There's a nearby tram stop. The museum has a cafe and very nice gift shop.

A Zürich Must See!
