can't say much about it because my memories about it are a bit blurry but I remember the good feeling I had there. If you love nice stages, chose a piece you want to see and buy your tickets! :)

Went to see Tannhauser, my favorite opera, but to my surprise it was a "modern" production. Wagner means traditional production, a la Zefirelli, this one is an insult to Wagner and to opera lovers. They used fake guitars instead of harps, the singers meet Tannhauser at a golf club, Elizabeth waits her beloved at a train station, the song contest is supposed to be broadcasted live ... At least the singers were very good. Never again. I will wait next time I'm in NY to see the real Wagner.

Seen the Fliegende Holländer by Richard Wagner with gorgeous singers (Terfel, Salminen etc) - tickets are pricey, but if you can afford it, do not hesitate to go. The venue itself is also nice, but nothing extraordinary - do not expect a Scala or a Liceu.

The food, service and wine are so good, they even remembered me from last October, I think should be number one in Zurich, and great that they are making more space, will return soon.
